National Drive Electric Week in Chattanooga is coming up and we don’t want you to miss out!

Each year the National Drive Electric Week national organizers encourage local groups to host events to have electric vehicle owners display their vehicles to the general public and provide an educational opportunity to answer questions that visitors may have concerning driving electric vehicles.  Chattanooga Drive Electric is the local volunteer group that organizes the Drive Electric event in the Chattanooga metropolitan area.  For several years they have closed Station Street next to the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo for the event.  Mayor Berke has spoken at each event and has presented a City Proclamation. There will also be newspaper and TV news coverage.

Please come and enjoy this family friendly event and learn the advantages of driving electric.

National Drive Electric Week, September 14-22, 2019, is a nationwide celebration to heighten awareness of today’s widespread availability of plug-in vehicles and highlight the benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid-electric cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more. They are fun to drive, are less expensive and more convenient to fuel than gasoline vehicles, are better for the environment, promote local jobs, and reduce our dependence on foreign oil.
