Position Summary

ETCleanFuels is seeking a qualified candidate for the Community Engagement Liaison position to work in tandem with our Clean Cities Energy & Environmental Justice Initiative (CCEEJI) Lead and our community-based organization partner, Socially Equal Energy Efficient Development (SEEED) to assist in green transportation community projects.

The CEL is responsible for the following duties:
➢ Conducting community assessments to evaluate, review, and monitor priority service areas as it relates to community health and economic status and how it intersects with clean transportation access and benefits
➢ Help establish and maintain a local network of relationships with community organizations, businesses, and individuals to promote clean transportation technology and engage stakeholders through outreach and education
➢ Lead data collection, analysis, and reporting efforts to help the coalition understand community capacities and needs, and determine the best approaches to increasing access and awareness of clean transportation technology
➢ Communicate and engage effectively with people from diverse racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and gender backgrounds on topics of energy and environmental justice and clean transportation

Required Qualifications:

➢ Recently or currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related field
➢ Experience with qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis, and reporting
➢ Availability between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on weekdays, some weekend availability needed
➢ Experience with Microsoft Office or Google Suite products, email communication, basic database management, and digital media tools and apps
➢ Ability to communicate and work with populations from different racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and gender diverse communities
➢ Vested interest and competency in energy and environmental justice work

Qualifications, Preferred

➢ Experience in community outreach and engagement efforts
➢ Experience working with underrepresented or vulnerable communities
➢ Experience with planning, logistics, and coordination of events, meetings, etc.
➢ Experience with ArcGIS or other mapping and analysis solution tools are a plus
