The Request for Proposals for the 2018 round of funding for the “Reducing Diesel Emissions for a Healthier TN” (or RDE4HT) rebate program is now available.
This RFP is now open and will close on February 16, 2018 when all proposals are due! This funding can cover up to 100% of your incremental cost* for a new alternative fuel vehicle (Or AFV), up to a maximum of $16,700 per vehicle. The intent is to help you quickly acquire new AFVs. You need to be replacing an older, diesel vehicle with a new, alternative-fuel vehicle of similar size and duty, and the vehicle must be over 10,000 pounds GVWR.
In this round, we have also added the ability to request funding assistance for truckstop electrification (TSE) projects, as well as for electrified “reefers” or trailer refrigeration units (eTRUs). Please see the RFP for more details on what the funding will cover.
Please click here to access the RFP. Please pass this along to others you think would be interested in funding assistance, and contact us if you have any questions.
* A vehicle’s “incremental cost” is defined as the difference between the full cost of a new vehicle that runs on petroleum and the full cost of the new vehicle that will run on an alternative fuel.
